Happy Holidays...

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and spent some quality time with family and friends!

Here is holiday card that was inspired by Karen's card from Altered Scrapbooking using an old sketch (#29) from Cas-ual Fridays.  I took it a step further by cutting out four more snowmen and adhered them with pop dots for some dimension.

DP is from MME Wonderful Winter paper stack and sentiment is from PTI's Stylish Sentiment; Holidays.

Christmas Joy & Cheer

I can't get enough of MME Lost and Found Christmas collection!  Here is another quick card...still keeping my holiday cards simple.  :)

Sentiment from PTI's Stylish Sentiment stamp set.  Added a bow and some rhinestones and this card was done!!!  :)

MME Merry Christmas 2

Here is another quick and super simple card using MME Lost and Found Christmas collection.

This card is very clean and simple!  Just the way holiday cards are supposed to be!  :)

MME Merry Christmas

Another quick and simple holiday card using MME Lost and Found Christmas collection.

I inked the edges of the card base and the tag, adhered the ribbon, added glitter to the background paper to mimic the tag...and this card was done!  :)  Very simple...

MME Happy Holidays

Here is another card that was made using MME Lost and Found Christmas paper.

There wasn't much to do on this card.  I simply cut around the design on the paper, inked the edges, added 3 red rhinestones to the top right hand corner and adhered it to PTI dark chocolate cardstock...and rounded the top corners!  :)

I will enter this card for the current Jay Gee's challenge:

MME Season's Greetings 1

Here is another holiday card that I created using MME Lost and Found Christmas papers.  I am in love with this collection, in fact it was really hard for me to cut this paper. I made four cards from one sheet of 12x12 paper.  Will post the others later...still have to photograph them.

Sentiment from PTI, Stylish Sentiment; Holiday and of course, red rhinestones for that Christmas bling!  :)

Season's Greetings!

Here is a holiday card that I made using some very old supplies.  This card truly signifies my "using up my stash" determination for this year's holiday cards.  The silver embossing powder is from a 2002 Stampin Up order and the silver shimmer paper is left over from making a friend's wedding program 9 years ago!  I always buy extra paper "just in case" something happens...I seem to have a lot of that!  :)

Sentiment is from PTI, Stylish Sentiment and I just couldn't resist adding the gems! :)

MOJO Monday 215

Two deaths within three days equates to an emotionally and physically draining week.  With all this going on, my grandmother turns 81 today and although we are not celebrating due to the deaths, I still wanted to acknowledge her birthday.  Happy 81st Birthday Grandma Charlotte!

Here is the card that I barely squeezed in some time to make:

I am not sure if this is a reflection of my current mood, but this card turned out darker than I originally planned.  I used this week's MOJO215 sketch for this card.

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:

Happy Birthday Emily!

This is a birthday card and a framed bible verse that I made for a friend's daughter.  Happy Birthday Emily!  This is Emily's favorite bible verse and she wanted it framed for her bedroom.

I used last week's Mojo Monday 214 sketch for this card.  I die cut the number 14 from PTI's By the Numbers die set and then added fine glitter to it.  Sentiment is from PTI's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

HCBC Week 1, Day 5

Here is my card for day 5 of the Holiday Card Boot Camp.  I am still challenging myself to use what I have on hand as well as keeping these cards very CAS.

I embossed the woodgrain stamped image with white glitter embossing powder.  I thought this would be a fun way to tie in the glitter reindeer from the border sticker. Sentiment if from PTI's Stylish Sentiments, Holiday.

Here is the same card using kraft cardstock.

HCBC Week 1, Day 3

Here is my card for day 3 of the Holiday Card Boot Camp 2011.  Trying to keep these cards very simple while using supplies I already have.  It's a great feeling to shop your stash!  :)

I wish I had smaller or various sizes of this color rhinestone but since I am on a mission to use what I have, I think these worked just fine!  :)

HCBC Week 1, Day 1

I am participating in Holiday Card Boot Camp 2011 in an effort to get some holiday cards done before the chaos of the season hits our home!

Here is my version of the card for day 1.  I am hoping to use up some of my holiday stash as well as keep these cards very CAS.

Congrats Wedding Card!

This is a card that I made for my cousin's wedding.  I wanted to keep this card simple and elegant without using too many colors.

I clear embossed the top layer with Hero Arts, Antique Flower Background stamp onto PTI's vintage cream cardstock.  I loved the way it turned out.  Middle layer is a shimmer cream cardstock and base layer is from Creative Imaginations.

Sentiment is from PTI which was embossed onto vellum.

Thank You - MOJO212

Here is a thank you card that I made for a very good friend of mine.  It's been a while since I played along with  Mojo Monday challenges, so I decided to use this week's sketch for my card.

DP is from MME Mischievous Collection, thank you definition stamp is from Hero Arts and Sugar Picks pin is from Jillibean Soup.

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:

I will also enter this card for this week's Wee Memories Challenge:

Bridal Shower Card

WOW, life has it's way of taking you in all different directions!  I have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to post or visit many blogs.  I am hoping to find some time to "browse" a little this week!  :)

Here is a card that I made for my cousin's bridal shower.  Sentiment is a rubon that I was determined to use...not a good idea when I barely had time to make her card, but I didn't want to use a traditional sentiment for this occasion.  I was happy with the end result! :)

Pocket on the inside of the card is from PTI, Library Pocket die.  I used this die often as it holds a gift card or cash perfectly.

Time to Celebrate!

Here is a card that I made for my brother who just celebrated his birthday!  I bought this stamp a few months ago and of course, I forgot about it until I saw Rae from Simply Rae use it on a card.

Stamp is a Studio112 $1 stamp from Michaels, pattern paper with the clocks is from a very (very) old stash and DP is from BasicGrey's wander paper pad.

Happy Birthday Lauren!

This is a super quick and easy card that I made for my beautiful niece and God Daughter, Lauren!  Happy 10th Birthday Lauren!

I used the gift card die from My Creative Time and attached it to a card base.  The card base also gives me a place to write a special message to the birthday girl!

DP is from DCWV Citrus Stack, glitter paper is from the matching cardstock stack and sentiments are from My Creative Time, Gift Card Sentiment!

JGNC12 Anniversary Card

Here is an anniversary card that I made for my parents using the traditional resist technique with glossy paper.   This was one of the techniques I learned from Inspiration Showcase.  I couldn't decide which color I wanted to use, so I embossed two of the same pattern and inked one in green (shabby shutters distress ink) and the other in blue (tumbled glass distress ink).  I ended up using the green one on this card so now I have an extra to play with!  :)

I wanted to keep this card CAS, so here is what I ended up with.

Sentiment is stamped and clear embossed on vellum.  Cardstock is from PTI (Spring Moss) which ended up being a perfect match for my resist image.  (Unfortunately, this photo does not do justice to actual card!)

I thought this card would work perfectly for the current challenge on Jay Gee's Nook.

September SFYTT - Happy Birthday Priya!

Here is a birthday card that I made for my beautiful niece, Priya!  She absolutely loves to read, in fact whenever you can't find her it's almost a guarantee that she is tucked away in a corner reading a book!  Happy Birthday Priya!

I started out with this month's sketch from i{heart}2stamp and ended up with this as my final layout.
DP is from MME Lost and Found 2, Rosy collection, sentiment is from My Creative Time, Gift Card Sentiment and die cut from PTI, All Booked Up.

Here is a picture of the September sketch:

JGNC11 Appreciation Card

Here is the card that I made for Jay Gee's Nook challenge #11.  When I first saw the photo inspiration, I immediately thought of one of my favorite stamps from Hero Arts...Starburst Lace!

Image is stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder, sentiment is from Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set.

Here is the photo inspiration:

CQC 101 & FMS1

Here is a birthday card that I made using cQc #101 along with Freshly Made Sketches #1 challenge.  Freshly Made is a new challenge blog and this is their first sketch challenge.

DP is from MME, Lime Twist; Happy Go Lucky collection and the sentiment is from My Creative Time, Gift Card Sentiments.

Here are the photos of both challenges:

CPS 131, Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's Card Patterns Sketch 131 challenge.  I needed to make a card for my mom's birthday and this sketch worked perfectly with the pearls that I was planning to use.

DP, pearls, brads and ribbon are from MME Lost and Found 2, Rosy collection.  Sentiment is from Just Rite stamps; Just A Note Set.

Here is a picture of the sketch:
