Party Hat Birthday Card!

Here is a birthday card that I made for a sweet 1 year old baby girl.  I wanted this card to be colorful, vibrant, fun and festive, so I decided on this party hat shaped card.  Shaped cards are fun to make and perfect for little kids.

My inspiration for this card came from the cover of a Card Creations, Vol. 10 magazine that I won from a Moxie Fab challenge last year.  This issue is filled with lots of great inspiration.

Hat shape is an image from the Silhouette store and circles were cut using various size punches from glitter cardstock.

Is it time for cake yet?

Here is a clean and simple birthday card that I created using a K&Company sentiments vellum sticker pad.  When I first saw this pad, I knew immediately that I could use them for cards.  I fell in love with the sentiments and fonts as they reminded me of actual stamps that I had seen online.  This is a no fuss, no stamping, so quick and so, so simple card.  I can't wait to use more of these stickers on cards.

It's always hard for me to photograph my cards whenever I use an embossing plate for the second layer.  I think you get the idea though! :)

I will be linking this card to Simon Says Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

Happy Birthday, CSC136

I miss playing along in challenges, so today I tried to squeeze in some time to make a quick card.  Here is the card that I made to play along with this week's CASE Study Challenge.  It's very simple and can even be used as a masculine card.

Snapshot Love!

Here is a card that I made for a friend's wedding.  I almost always use my favorite PTI's Congrats stamp,  cream cardstock, along with a big beautiful cream bow for wedding cards.  This time I challenged myself to do something different.  I used the Shutterbug Special stamp set from PTI, cream cardstock (just had to) and no bow!  So here is what I came up with...

This looks very simple for a wedding card, but it's actually quite elegant in real life.  It was also a bit hard for me to photograph since I was trying to capture the embossing on the second layer.  I used dimensional adhesive on both layers, added the LOVE brad along with a few black pearls.

Here is the pullout sentiment behind the camera...

Remember This Moment

Look who's blogging today!  I'm sharing a bridal shower card that I made for a friend last week.  It's a very simple card using one of my favorite stamps from Ali Edwards.  My inspiration for this card came from the gift box that I used for the gift.  I originally planned to add some butterflies to the card but ended up using pearls instead.

Here are two photos of the gift box:
