Ben's Navigational Data!

Here is a birthday card that I made for my son's best friend, Ben.  They have been friends since 1st grade and my son asked me to make him a special card!  Happy Birthday, Ben!  :)

DP is from October Afternoon's, Rocket Age collection. I used this collection for my son's birthday and he wanted the same for Ben.

I will also enter this card into CASE Study's signature challenge.  For this challenge you are to showcase what your signature style is...well, for me it differs as I try to make each card a reflection of the recipients personality.  I like CAS cards all to way to more detailed also depends on my mood at the time of me making the card!  I am also a Scrapbooker then a Stamper/Card Maker, so most of my cards will have minimum stamping...either way I absolutely love to create! :)

Have A Blast Appu!

Here is a birthday card that was sent out before I had a chance to take a picture of it with my camera.  My kids took this picture with my phone, so the quality is not so good.  :(

This card was heavily influenced by my two kids (Sumitra and Ajay) along with the help of their cousins (Priya and Neena).  It was for their grandfather's birthday and they wanted it to be a fun card...not sure if they just didn't trust my idea of a fun card or they just really wanted to help since it was for their Appu!  :)

With the exception of the red cardstock, everything is from the Rocket Age Collection from October Afternoon.

Celebrate - It's Your Day!

Here is a birthday card that I made using this week's Card Patterns Sketch 129.  September is a busy month for me with lots of birthdays and anniversaries, so using challenge sketches is a stress free way for me to create and still have fun in the process!  :)

DP is from My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist (Fly A Kite collection) and sentiment is from Jillibean Soup, Birthday Party stamp set.

CASE Study 53 - Take Two

Here is another card that I made to play along with CASE Study's anniversary celebration.  Iwona's cards are so beautiful and it's so hard to choose just one card to CASE.

This is my take on her card:

CASE Study 53

This is the 3rd week of a month long anniversary celebration for CASE Study!  This week's challenge is to CASE a card from Iwona.  I chose this very simple card to CASE but now I am not sure how I feel about it.

Even though I love the CAS look of a single layer card, I couldn't resist adding the blue cardstock, then I added the stitching, and of course I had to add the gems...yep, I was out of control!  Hence, the mixed feelings towards my end result!

Here is a picture of Iwona's card:

Biker's Birthday Card

This is a birthday card that I made for my husband's boss who is a biker.  Masculine cards are not my favorite cards to make but I was pretty happy with the way this turned out.

DP is from Simple Stories Destination Collection and stamp is from Hero Arts, Bicycles.  I colored the bicycle handles and added black pearls to the hubs on the wheels.  I also distressed the papers for that rugged masculine look!  :)

CASE Study 52

CASE Study's challenge for this week is to CASE one of the fabulous players from their gallery.  I immediately knew I wanted to CASE Lea from Lea's Cupcakes and Sunshine.  I fell in love with this card since July and I was so happy that I able to CASE it.  :)

Here is my card which has very little changes from Lea's original:
DP is from October Afternoon's 5 and Dime Collection.  The script font below the DP is stamped with chalk ink, however it didn't photograph that well (sorry, ran out of time to take another picture).

Here is Lea's card.

BBQ Birthday Card

This is a card that I made for my brother's birthday.  He loves to cook and BBQ so I thought this DP from DCWV, The Guy Stack would be great for him.  I used this week's Clean & Simple Stamping sketch 152 for this card.

I was very tempted to add something else to this card, as I thought it was very simple, but then decided to stay true to the sketch.  DP is embossed with a glossy finish so I cut an extra BBQ grill out and popped it up on top of the original to add some dimension to the card.

Here is a photo of the sketch:

Yeah...I made top 3!

Wow, I made TOP 3 at CASE Study!  This caught me off guard this first recognition!  :) Thank you CASE Study for recognizing my card, I had fun creating it.  Your Design Team is truly inspirational!

Another CASE Study Blog Hop

Here is another card that I made CASEing one of Amy's cards from Crafting Confessions.  I had to make so many cards this month so CASE Study's anniversary blog hop was perfect timing for creative thinking on my part, just CASE a card from one of their DT members!  :)  A very simple yet delicate card.

DP is from the My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist; Fly A Kite collection and sentiment is from PTI, Signature Greetings.

CASE Study Anniversary Blog Hop

Happy Anniversary CASE Study!  How exciting to pass that one year mark!  Choosing a card to CASE was very hard since I follow two of their DT members.  I finally settled on this Faithful Stars card by Aimes from Crafting Confessions.  Her work is very CAS and very inspirational to me.

Here is the card that I made:
Patterned papers are from October Afternoon's 5 and Dime collection along with PTI's Kraft and Ripe Avocado cardstock.
