MIM #63, Glitter Die Cuts

Here is a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's PTI Make It Monday challenge.  It's been a while since I used this technique so I thought it would be fun to play along.  My grandmother turns 84 years old next week so I thought this would be a fun card for her to receive.  You probably can't tell from this photo but the floss also has a glitter/sparkle effect which ties in really well with the glittered numbers.

Sentiment is from PTI's Big Birthday Wishes, numbers are from By the Numbers die set and the second layer is embossed with PTI's By the Numbers impression plate.

Thinking of You

I made this card to play along with two challenges this week.  I used sketch #31 from Freshly Made Sketches and the theme from A Blog Named Hero which was creating a card with a view.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts and the flower is from a very old scrapbooking kit that I have.  The top blue layer is adhered to the green using dimensional adhesive and so is the sentiment.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches along with the theme from A Blog Named Hero:

You are my world!

I haven't had much time to craft or blog lately...been just as busy as I am sure everyone else is, but I do however have lots of projects that I didn't get a chance to share on my blog.  So, I thought why not post them as I find time to...

Here is a page layout of my daughter from my Project Life album.  She actually bought the tag that I used at the bottom right for her own album but I kinda "sweet talked" her into letting me "borrow" it.  :)

I kept this layout very simple as I wanted the photo to stand out and not be distracted with embellishments.

Simple Congrats

Here is a simple card that I made for a wedding that I attended this weekend.  I ran out of time to make this card even though I knew way ahead of time that I would need it.  This seems to be a trend with me lately so I convinced myself that I was aiming for simple elegant anyway.  :)

Sentiment is stamp and embossed on vellum and then adhered to the top layer.  The top layer is then popped up with dimensional adhesive to the base of the card.
