Hip Hip Hooray!

Here's a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I had other plans for these hexagons but after seeing this sketch I decided to play around with the orientation and this is what I ended up with.  A simple but fun masculine card...

Celebrate Your Love!

Life has been keeping me so busy that I haven't had much time to do any crafting lately.  I'm pretty much backed up on all my crafting projects, including Project Life.  Oddly, I'm not worried as I know someday I'll catch up...or at least that's what I keep telling myself. :)

This a card that I made to play along with this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  It's not a great photo but I'm out of time to take another so here it is anyway...

Happy Birthday, CTS #44

Here's the card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I made this card earlier in the week and forgot to post it...life just took over.  In fact, I have a couple of cards that I've made for CAS(E) this Sketch weekly challenges that I never got to post!

Although this picture doesn't do justice to the card, I actually used the colors from this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash #25 challenge.  Unfortunately, it took me more than 10 mins to finish this card as I was having a hard time incorporating the brown.

Here's the photo of the challenge sketch and the Craft Dash colors:

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy 15th Birthday Sweet Pea!

15 years ago we were entrusted with the most precious gift, our beautiful daughter Sumitra!  I am not sure what we did to deserve such a blessing, but we are truly honored to be your parents.  Happy Birthday Sweet Pea!

I made this card using this week's sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  I wanted this card to be simple, fun, colorful as well as vibrant and the sentiment on this banner truly describes my daughter.  I actually had plans for this banner in my Project Life album but decided to use it on this card as I was trying to use a non traditional sentiment.

Happy Birthday, CTS #41

Here is a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  As always, I have a hard time embellishing masculine cards.  I couldn't decide what to use so I colored a few of the wood veneer stars with the same blue ink as I used for the sentiment.  They turned out a bit darker because of the wood texture but it worked just fine.

Happy, Happy Birthday to you...

Here's a card that I made for my husband's birthday.  I actually made this card to play along with a CAS(E) this Sketch challenge two weeks ago but never got the chance to post it.  Summer life got in the way of my blogging but I have no regrets...this has been a very busy but an awesome summer with my kids, nieces and nephews!  Hope everyone is having a great summer, creating memories to cherish for a lifetime!  :)

This was a super simple and fun card to create!  Thanks for stopping by...I am hoping to find some time to visit all my loyal blogger friends soon.  Have a fantastic day!

Above and Beyond! CTS#34

I couldn't resist playing along with this week's challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  This card is very simple, but I love that bold sentiment which is from K&Company's sentiments vellum sticker pad.  To me that sentiment says more than just a simple "Thank You".  Anyway, a clean, simple and quick card! :)

Here is the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch:

Thank You, CSC147

Here is the card that I created to play along with this week's CASE Study challenge.  When I first saw Lisa's card I immediately thought of this paper from DCWV, Hittin' the Books collection.  This was such a fun card to CASE however it was a bit tricky to photograph.  This picture doesn't do justice to the card but here it is...

Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Here is Lisa's original card:

Happy Birthday Ajay, FMS91

Happy Happy Happy 13th Birthday Ajay!  Yikes...2 teenagers in the house!  I'm bracing really hard for this ride!

My inspiration for this card came from this week's challenge from Freshly Made Sketches, challenge #91. I love the simplicity of this sketch, it can be interpreted in so many different ways.  I used out an old collection but one of my all time favorites, Rocket Age from October Afternoon.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts and border punch is from EK Success, Round Binding Edge.

Happy Father's Day

Here's a simple Father's Day card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. Masculine cards are still a challenge for me...go figure!  This was the card that I gave to my dad.  I used the Awesome collection from Simple Stories, added some twine, rain dots sentiment from the sticker collection and this card was done!  Quick and simple...

You are my Sunshine!

Here's wishing a very Happy Father's Day to my darling husband...you are truly the sunshine in our lives!

This is the Father's Day card that I made for my husband.  I decided to challenge myself again to make a card for a special occasion without using a traditional sentiment.  In other words, I didn't want my sentiment to say "Happy Father's Day!".  A very simple, yet fun card...exactly what I intended to create!

Sentiment is from Hero Arts and the Sunburst stamp is from Neat and Tangled.

Here's wishing all dads a very Happy Father's Day!  Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Make a Wish Neena!

Happy Happy Birthday to my beautiful, caring, loving and most compassionate niece, Neena!

Here is a card that I made for Neena's birthday.  I played along with this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge from Pretty Pink Posh.  It's ironic because it was Neena who helped me with my last 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge which ended up winning the challenge for that week.  Now here I am playing along with a card for her!

Anyway, this was a fun card to create!  The minute I saw these colors I thought of the Hip-Hooray collection from My Mind's Eye.  This card took me 7:53 minutes to create!

Here are the colors for this week's challenge:

Thanks for stopping by!  Here's hoping Neena's day is half as amazing as she is!

Happy Birthday!

Here is a card that I made for my sister-in-law's birthday!  I played along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I love their sketch challenges, just wished I had more time to play along weekly.  Tracey McNeely is one of my favorite bloggers so I couldn't resist this week's challenge!  This was a quick, simple and fun card to make...

Sentiment is from Close to My Heart and the branch and butterflies are a glitter rub-on from K&Co.

Happy Birthday

So what do you do when you get new stamps in the mail?  You find a reason to make a card!  Well actually I did have a reason, I needed a birthday card for my nephew.  My new stamps are from Neat and Tangled that I bought using a gift card I won from a challenge a while back.  My favorite part of this happy mail was the personalized thank you note from the owner, Danielle.  That extra touch goes a long way and makes you feel appreciated as a customer.

This birthday card is very simple using washi tape and this stamp set from their current month's new release.  It's very simple but very age appropriate.

Sentiment is adhered with dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fantastic day!

It's Your Day!

I am truly humbled and feel completely blessed that God has entrusted two precious gifts in my care.  My kids have taught me the meaning of true love, true happiness and most importantly, all about selfless giving.  Here's wishing all moms a very, very Happy Mother's Day!

This is the card that I made for my mom for Mother's Day.  It was inspired by this week's challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  A very CAS card keeping the focus on the sentiment.

Sentiment is from PTI's Think Big Favorites #2 stamp set.

Here is a photo of the sketch challenge:

Thanks for stopping by and I wish all the mommies a beautiful and relaxing day!  :)

You are my reason why...

Here is a card that I made to play along with this week's Simon Says Happy Mail challenge.  I love using Ali Edwards' stamps on my layouts so finding ways to use them on cards is an added bonus for me!  This is such a simple card using washi tape and a few hearts, however it's such a powerful sentiment to the recipient.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

Party Hat Birthday Card!

Here is a birthday card that I made for a sweet 1 year old baby girl.  I wanted this card to be colorful, vibrant, fun and festive, so I decided on this party hat shaped card.  Shaped cards are fun to make and perfect for little kids.

My inspiration for this card came from the cover of a Card Creations, Vol. 10 magazine that I won from a Moxie Fab challenge last year.  This issue is filled with lots of great inspiration.

Hat shape is an image from the Silhouette store and circles were cut using various size punches from glitter cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fantastic day!

Is it time for cake yet?

Here is a clean and simple birthday card that I created using a K&Company sentiments vellum sticker pad.  When I first saw this pad, I knew immediately that I could use them for cards.  I fell in love with the sentiments and fonts as they reminded me of actual stamps that I had seen online.  This is a no fuss, no stamping, so quick and so, so simple card.  I can't wait to use more of these stickers on cards.

It's always hard for me to photograph my cards whenever I use an embossing plate for the second layer.  I think you get the idea though! :)

I will be linking this card to Simon Says Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

Happy Birthday, CSC136

I miss playing along in challenges, so today I tried to squeeze in some time to make a quick card.  Here is the card that I made to play along with this week's CASE Study Challenge.  It's very simple and can even be used as a masculine card.

Snapshot Love!

Here is a card that I made for a friend's wedding.  I almost always use my favorite PTI's Congrats stamp,  cream cardstock, along with a big beautiful cream bow for wedding cards.  This time I challenged myself to do something different.  I used the Shutterbug Special stamp set from PTI, cream cardstock (just had to) and no bow!  So here is what I came up with...

This looks very simple for a wedding card, but it's actually quite elegant in real life.  It was also a bit hard for me to photograph since I was trying to capture the embossing on the second layer.  I used dimensional adhesive on both layers, added the LOVE brad along with a few black pearls.

Here is the pullout sentiment behind the camera...

Thanks for stopping by...have a fantastic day!

Remember This Moment

Look who's blogging today!  I'm sharing a bridal shower card that I made for a friend last week.  It's a very simple card using one of my favorite stamps from Ali Edwards.  My inspiration for this card came from the gift box that I used for the gift.  I originally planned to add some butterflies to the card but ended up using pearls instead.

Here are two photos of the gift box:

Project Life 2013 - January 3/4

I've completed a couple more pages for my Project Life album!  I am so glad that I decided to do this year's album digitally as I am truly enjoying the process.  So much so, that I am falling even more behind on my 2012 album...not good!  Anyway, here are two more pages for the month of January.

A closer look at each page:

Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorite sketch challenge blogs.  The sketches are clean and simple, which tends to get my creative juices flowing!  I wish I had more time to play along on a weekly basis.  Here is the card that I made for this week's challenge.

The second layer and the sentiment are both adhered with dimensional adhesive.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts, Good Friends stamp set.

Project Life 2013 - January 1/2

Here are two more pages to my 2013 PL album.  As mentioned in previous posts, I take a monthly recap approach to my albums.  I do have a couple more pages that I still need to finish up for January.

Here is what the double page spread looks like:

Happy Birthday!

Here is a quick and simple masculine birthday card that I made last week.  I wasn't able to post it then since the recipient didn't receive it as yet.  I distressed the edges on the top layers to create a more rough and tough look then added the green banners just for a pop of color.

Sentiment is from PTI's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a fabulous day! :)

Project Life - New Years Eve/Day

I always start my project life albums with a New Year's Eve and New Year's day layout.  These two pages follow my title page and then for the rest of my album, it's pretty much a month in review versus a picture a day approach.  These are my 2013 pages for those days.

I try to keep my pages simple and clean while keeping the focus on the photos.  That's my traditional scrapbooking approach and I hope to do the same with this digital version.
